40 Days for Life Vigil continues at Old Pueblo Clinic 5240 E. Knight Drive, Suite #112, Vigil is held on Beverly Street, adjacent to the Knight Drive Monday thru Saturday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm

There are so many things in the works right now that it is hard to find a place to start to keep you informed of our State and local Tucson events. Many blessings have been given to us, and our relationships with such an amazing group of dedicated pro-lifers. I just returned from a State Board Meeting, and the plans are exciting, to say the least. I am sure I'll forget to include something, so stay tuned for further announcements!

40 Days For Life Campaign starts also in September, and our Chapter is again working with Ann Downey's NE Chapter to organize Tucson pro-lifers! If you would like a speaker to come to your church or group gathering, please let me know by email or phone Tucson 908-9765. I'd love to have a rep from each parish or church group take a week to cover these locations for specific times. Please let me know your parish/church/group leader for a contact.

We are working with a UA Student group to help them get started and work in conjunction with our Chapter of upcoming events. If you can help with donations, advice, or anything else, please contact me. I know these students will be a great help to our events.

There are two movies I highly recommend to all who wish to see some truly good, professional films on pro-life and pro-marriage issues. Bella and Fireproof are excellent films, and I'd like to host a double feature to be shown at a local theater, and a small donation to our Chapter. I plan to host a short intermission with refreshments and discussion on the films.

Frank Antenori is running for the House against a pro-choice Republican candidate who has a lot of financial supports. Frank is a pro-life candidate, so please try to find some funds to donate to help him battle against the Culture of Death, a war which we all fight daily! Please visit Frank's site at: antenori.com and go to the Donate tab. Please pay close attention to your right to vote, and vote your conscience for each candidate. If you have any doubts, please visit http://azrtltucson.org/azrtltucson/vote08.htm

AZ RTL and the National RTL organizations have both officially endorsed Senator John McCain as their choice for President. In spite of some earlier misgivings, Senator McCain and his leadership team have wholeheartedly affirmed his dedication to a pro-life platform and presidency. The important note here is that voting for him will ensure us of Supreme Court nominees that will be also pro-life in their backgrounds and potential decisions in future cases that come before the Supreme Court. For the Pro-life community, that is vital! The electoral college numbers increase with the popular votes for the state, so don't be fooled by those who claim our votes do not count. We need the Electoral votes from AZ to reflect a pro-life choice in Senator McCain.

Our Chapter desperately needs help with getting this information out to those who do not have access to the Internet. If you can help with Bulk mailings, please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Please keep our Chapter and our members (including your precious self) in your prayers. That's the answer to all our needs!

LOCAL CATHOLICS  LAUNCH SUNDAY RADIO HOUR

Every Sunday 4pm to 5pm, on KVOI AM-690
Calling their Arizona non-profit corporation Culture of Life, Inc., a group of Tucson Catholic laymen has organized to pursue a document from the Second Vatican Council, "Inter-Mirifica"; a decree calling for Catholics to use the press, cinema and (broadcast) media to "announce the good news of the means of salvation, and to teach (us) how to use it properly".
Accordingly, the board of directors of Culture of Life, Inc. has voted to undertake a weekly radio hour to be aired every Sunday, beginning June tenth (10th), from 4pm to 5pm, on KVOI AM-690, and to simulcast on sister stations in Douglas and Globe. The program will be produced and hosted by retired Tucson broadcast veteran, Garry Greenberg.
The program will offer discussions on catechetical topics following themes of the Catholic liturgical calendar, along with news of interest and interviews with local, national and international Church leaders; all in keeping with the authentic teaching of the Catholic Church.
There will be a companion website featuring previous broadcasts and a local "bulletin board" as a service to members and friends of all parishes and other Catholic groups in support of their good work for the Church; information and links to other web sites for those in search of who the Catholic Church is and how to get more information from and about it. The website will link to a blog that will offer opportunity for comments and questions to be addressed in future broadcasts.
President of Culture of Life, Inc., Mike Mohr, is chairman of St. Gianna Chapter, CUF* Tucson and a consecrated Marian Catechist. He states, "Our objective is to share the Truth of Jesus and His Church with our community through the modem miracle of the electronic media. We feel an urgent need to promote the authentic Culture of Life in a decaying -- formerly Judeo-Christian -- civilization that is now being ravaged by secularism's "culture of death". Toward that end, we also stage the annual
Culture of Life Golf Challenge which will be held on November 16th, this year, again at Omni Tucson National Resort and Golf Club.
